Reishi Mushroom — Supplements
Immunomodulatory medicinal mushroom with adaptogenic and anti-tumor properties.
Overview
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is one of the most studied medicinal mushrooms, containing bioactive triterpenoids (ganoderic acids) and beta-glucan polysaccharides. It has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2,000 years as the 'mushroom of immortality.' Reishi modulates both innate and adaptive immune function, with clinical evidence supporting its use as an adjunctive immunotherapy in cancer patients, for sleep quality improvement, and as an adaptogen for stress resilience. A Cochrane review found insufficient evidence for anti-cancer use alone but acknowledged immunostimulatory potential.
