Green Tea Extract EGCG — Supplements

Catechin-rich extract with thermogenic, antioxidant, and cardiometabolic benefits.

Overview

Green tea extract is standardized to epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the most bioactive catechin polyphenol. EGCG inhibits catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) and phosphodiesterase, prolonging norepinephrine signaling and promoting thermogenesis and fat oxidation. Meta-analyses support modest body fat reduction, LDL cholesterol lowering, and blood pressure improvement. EGCG also demonstrates anti-cancer properties in preclinical models via cell cycle arrest and apoptosis induction.

Indications

  • Fat oxidation and thermogenesis
  • Cardiovascular risk factor improvement
  • Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support
  • Metabolic health optimization

Mechanism of Action

EGCG inhibits catechol-O-methyltransferase, prolonging norepinephrine activity and sympathetic-mediated thermogenesis
